Sandscribe Communications aims to contribute to Ethiopia’s efforts towards poverty eradication by enhancing the effectiveness of the mass media. Media is essential for bringing about positive societal changes because it can raise awareness on critical development issues and provide relevant and valuable information to the public. It is also a platform for public debate on important issues such as health, education, poverty, gender discrimination, and HIV/AIDS, and much more.

Mass media is the primary tool for reaching and educating a developing nation. However, for the mass media to be an effective instrument for education and social change, media practitioners such as producers, writers, editors, directors, actors, and journalists need to be trained with a clear focus on the improvement of the whole society. The task of educating, informing and entertaining a public audience is mainly determined by the technical maturity and professional competence of the professionals working in the media. This requirement makes it imperative for measures to be taken to create suitable conditions for providing the appropriate training. That is the goal of Sandscribe Communications.
